Includes but is not limited to pediatricians, family practitioners, endocrinologists, gynecologists, psychiatrists, urologists, surgeons, clinical psychologists and psychotherapists, pediatric nurse practitioners, physician associates, and other primary care providers (PCPs/GPs) or clinicians treating gender-dysphoric youth.

Learning Objectives

1.

Develop an understanding of the basic principles of evidence-based medicine and demonstrate competence in evaluating and utilizing clinical guidelines in gender medicine.

2.

Analyze the evolving demographics of gender-dysphoric adolescents and compare various clinical approaches to managing gender incongruence in youth.

3.

Evaluate the divergence of European treatment pathways from the Dutch protocol and compare these with American approaches in the treatment of gender incongruence.
